The Jura will host its first cross-country skiing world cup at the Stade Nordique des Tuffes (39)
After a last minute cancellation in a difficult Covid context last January. The COOP cross-country skiing FIS world cup in the Les Rousses resort will be held from 27 to 29 January 2023!

What is the cross country world cup ?


First of all, the Cross-Country Skiing World Cup is an international cross-country skiing competition, organised since 1981 by the FIS. Through several stages in different countries during the winter season, competitors accumulate points, based on their performances, which determine their overall ranking.

This competition has existed since the 1970s. It was not until 1981-1982 that the International Ski Federation decided to take over the organisation of this event and give it official status. In addition, they are contested in both styles of cross-country skiing: free style and classic style.

FRIDAY 27 JANUARY: INDIVIDUAL SKATE

SATURDAY 28 JANUARY: CLASSIC SPRINT

SUNDAY 29 JANUARY: CLASSIC MASS START


But also lots of other surprises… evening, partners village, animations…

Moreover, this event will take place one week after the Nordic Combined FIS World Cup in Chaux-Neuve in the neighbouring department. The programme of a Nordic week ideal to treat the most passionate of Nordic skiing.
